Course Description
This course is designed to allow students to become IT specialists who have an excellent combination of knowledge and practical, hands-on expertise to design, implement and manage an organisation’s technology infrastructure and support the people who use it. The graduates from this course will have their abilities developed in areas as information system; data communication; computer programming; systems analysis and design; multimedia; mathematics; artificial intelligence; project management; database management; web development; mobile computing; knowledge discovery and data Mining; and human-computer interaction.
This course is part of the MAPS College’s Information Technology Study Programme, which offers courses from Certificate Level 1 to Degree level at present. The MAPS BSc in Information Technology (Software Development / Network Management) degree programme is designed to allow students to either progress after completing the MAPS Foundation Studies in Information Technology or for students to gain direct entry after completing their A Levels.
This is a 3 years, 360 credits course and during the final year, students are offered the opportunity to choose their preferred specialization from the two streams available, which are Software Development and Network Management.
