Course Description
Bachelor of Arts in Dhivehi Language and History offers students a unique opportunity to understand the social, cultural and political dimensions of Maldivian society through critical analysis of our language and history.
It offers a new perspective to examine Maldivian language and history within the global context, to acquire an advanced and sophisticated understanding of the subject area. The rich and complex relations between our language, history and culture are explored in relation to other cultures.
The programme embodies valuable practical skills to engage students in the field of study, enabling them to undertake simple research in language and history, and carry out tasks in documenting history.
