Diploma in Primary Teaching will be awarded after the completion of the first year

  5. Algebra, Function and Statistics

  6. Teaching and Learning Strategies

  7. ICT Skills for Teaching and Learning

  8. Process and Pedagogy for Reading and Text Construction

Advanced Diploma in Primary Teaching will be awarded after the completion of the second year

  1. Early Intervention and Behaviour Management

  2. Curriculum Adaptations: Sensory and Physical Disabilities

  3. Curriculum Adaptations: Additional Learning Needs

  4. Curriculum Adaptations: Developmental Disabilities

  5. Mathematics Education II

  6. Co-teaching and Collaboration: Building Partnerships for Inclusive Education

  7. Integrated Science

  8. Teaching Practicum II

Course Fee

MVR 3,750 per month x 36 months
(MVR 2,308 per month under the government free first degree scheme)

Course Description

This programme is focused on providing educational practitioners with the knowledge and skills required to create inclusive learning environments guided by the national and international laws and policies in education for differently-abled students at primary level. This programme will also provide the participants with practical skills in designing instructional plans, assessment and evaluation for students who are differently-abled along with the basic competencies of a primary teacher.
